Wow, okay, soooo... Supanova was awesome! Absolutely rad. I loved it so, so much!
Well, a shout out to
So, on to the update.
Friday night, the gang met up at
As well as a slave auction. >:3 And mnyeeeeees, Alice did bid, and win, her own slaves. Two (technically three) for the price of one. $90 for an Elena and Rude, from FF7. Otherwise known as Allan and Caris.
Allan's girlfriend Jessie was dressed as Cissnei on the Saturday, too, so that's how I technically got my three. : )
Man, those guys were SO GOOD TO ME. I loved them so much! Definitely glad I bid. : )
I had some issues in the morning, losing contact with
Allan also came any time I called him, and even fetched me food (and didn't steal my money when I hadn't realised I gave him $600) when I asked. Then they proceeded to do an awesome mini photo shoot for me, which I've stuck up on my Facebook.
I managed to get my hands on a Season 4 of Dragonball Z, too, which made me super happy.
Saturday night was spent playing SingStar, eating chocolate and candy and FAIL!bleaching Alice's hair. The bleach reacted to a hair dye I seem to have forgotten (wtf?) that I had in my hair, and now about two inches of my hair (the roots, ALL the way through) is bleached blonde, and the rest is red. It looks quite nifty, but I did have a mini panic attack when it all happened.
No... wait.. Friday night was when we bleached my hair. Silly me. : ) 'cause on Saturday, I was going to cosplay as Joshua from The World Ends With You, but my wig hadn't arrived. So we decided to dye it. Seeing as it didn't work, I obviously didn't cosplay Joshua. All weekend was spent as the Great Saiyaman, which ended up working out really well.
It was so exciting, and really nice, to have SO MANY people ask for photos! And they'd ask me to pose, and everything. : ) I had no idea Saiyaman was so popular, but now I do. I'm glad the costume turned out looking pretty good, too.
Sunday was filled with much fun. The first thing I actually did was sign up to the cosplay competition. I met two girls, dressed as Androids 17 & 18 from DBZ, on Saturday, and they were signing up as I walked in, so I said hi, and then joined them. There was even a Goku and a Mr Popo behind us in line, so they, too, joined us, and Vegeta and Bulma did, too, when I found them, later.
I spent most of the day jumping between groups. Found this person, then this one, and then another, then someone disappeared, and I found that person. I did make a lot of new friends, though, and ones with similar interests to me, which is really awesome.
The group went and saw Chris Sabat later, when he was doing his signing, and he took a few photos of us, which was super awesome. : D And just after that was the Kamehameha Blast Off, which is a competition that anyone can enter. You go up in groups, do the kamehameha (obviously not an ACTUAL kamehameha), and then two people from each round get chosen to go to the next round. And again, before you reach the two finalists.
I managed to tape the whole thing, and I'll be uploading that to Facebook, so if you really want to see it, I can let you know when that's all up. : ) You should really watch it if you're a DBZ fan, 'cause the finalists really were awesome.
So, apart from possibly having spread some sort of horrible flu (oops :\), the weekend was really wonderful. I'm glad that I went, because I had such a great time!
Edit:
Do want a Vegeta wig. : \ If anyone can give me any idea of DECENT ones, please point them out!
